Restaurant Review Analysis

I’m going to introduce” OLD TOM & ENGLISH, RESTAURANT REVIEW”, the title is  “SOHO'S LATEST WHITE-HOT SPOT BUCKS THE NO-RESERVATIONS TREND IN EXCLUSIVE STYLE”

The title does not reflect the author's opinion, but uses a feature of the restaurant - an invitation-only restaurant - in an attractive way. The environment around the restaurant is mentioned first, although not in detail. Only the first 2 sentences.

The review is not written item by item, but rather the author describes the experience of entering the restaurant, how he spent his time, and what he ate, in order. The first thing he does when he enters the restaurant is a very detailed description of its inner view.

There is a paragraph which is about the design of the restaurant, and the author himself says that he came expecting this fashion. The reason for this is that the owner of the restaurant is a designer. Information about the designer can be found in the fifth paragraph. There is almost no description of the staff's attitude or clothes, only that “beetling about making sure everyone's happy”

There is also a detailed description of the food.

To be honest, there were some sentences that I didn't know what the sentence actually meant, but I think it expresses the fact that the standard British cuisine is excellent. He also mentioned some of the dishes that have been published in magazines. He rated the food as a whole very highly. For example, Triple-cooked chips with a pot of heavy mayonnaise might be the best I've had anywhere, any year.

He also introduced the dish that he liked the least, stating the reason that the flavors were not harmonious.

He also describes the restroom facilities before describing the dessert. I guess he went to the bathroom on the way. There is little lighting and his speculation that this might be the theme of this restaurant.

He also devotes a paragraph to mentioning the desserts.

And the last paragraph is about prices and recommendations. The author recommends that you order six dishes and a dessert pudding when you visit with two people. He also mentions that it is possible to drink only cocktails and not food.

And finally he concludes with a rating out of 10.

And at the bottom of the page, he lists the name of the restaurant, the address, the phone number of the restaurant, and the price for the two of them.

The whole thing is broken down into paragraphs, but I got the impression that it was more like a diary than a review. There is no grid, and I thought it was a little difficult to read.

It was written along a time axis rather than a detailed item-by-item description of what happened. The writing style was broken, but I think the author's writing skills were fully expressed through the use of difficult words and far-fetched novelistic expressions. The lack of pictures made the expressions stand out. The restaurants are by invitation only, so I assume that the author is a gourmet and lives a rich life.
